Photo: Cavan Images/Getty Images $133M investment for 'critical' health IT in WA The Western Australian government has recently announced an A$3.2 billion ($2.1 billion) investment in health in its budget for 2024-2025.  It includes A$200 million ($133 million) for EMR and critical ICT infrastructure. Another A$28 million ($19 million) will be used to continue supporting the WA Virtual Emergency Department.  This year's "record" budget is expected to "boost hospital capacity, support the health workforce and improve patient access to care," according to a government media release.
